Robert Levasseur, Senior Consultant and Principal

Robert Levasseur has been a consultant in the area of executive compensation since 1998. Prior to that he held positions as a senior compensation and benefits practitioner with a number of prominent Canadian corporations, including Rothmans International, Canada Post Corporation, Sherritt International and Steinberg Inc.
 

Executive Compensation Expert

Robert provides advice to boards of directors and management on technical and governance issues relating to executive compensation. His experience covers all aspects of executive compensation. He has assisted various clients in developing executive compensation strategies and committee governance protocols. Robert has developed both equity and cash-based performance management and incentive plans and has provided various remuneration reviews, including the valuation of equity based and non-monetary compensation. His client group spans the private and public sectors and he has consulted for small organizations as well as Canada’s largest employers.

Robert’s private sector clients span most industry sectors (e.g., pharmaceuticals, financial services and manufacturing companies). Within the public sector, Robert has extensive experience with government, Crown corporations and regulatory sectors where he has directed projects and designed systems relating to total rewards design.

Credentials and Public Profile

Robert holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) from McGill University and is on the faculty of The Directors College. He is regularly interviewed and quoted in the Canadian business press, contributes to human resources publications, and is a well known speaker at executive compensation seminars and conferences nationwide.
